Once named an Exceptional Tree, the landowner
has an obligation for the care and maintenance of the tree in perpetuity.
It is required that pruning be performed by a certified arborist.
An Exceptional Tree is noted on the land deed, thus passing the
repsonsiblity for the tree to future owners.
